Campaign Story

At POVERTY ERADICATION PROGRAM ZAMBIA we are aimed at ending poverty and hunger while making agriculture and food systems sustainable.

We give seeds to households in rural communities. Mainly those living in extreme poverty. We are giving 30kg of seed per household of which they will harvest 5 times or more, ensuring food security in their homes and also keep seeds for the next planting season. When they start having excess produce, they will be selling the excess and use the money to cater for other needs like children’s school fees, pay hospital bills etc. In so doing, we are helping end extreme poverty while making agriculture and food systems sustainable. We are taking donations in form seeds like maize, groundnuts, beans and Soya Beans or any amount of money that you can manage. It will really make a difference in the lives of our people.

In the wake of the CORONAVIRUS pandemic, we take time to visit and sensitive people in rural communities about how to prevent and protect themselves against the novel Coronavirus. We are also working on putting together food parcels and hygiene items for people who are living in extreme poverty.

We would like to provide especially, soap for the washing of hands and hand sanitizers for the rural communities living in extreme poverty to fight against Cororonavirus.

We would also like to provide food parcels to the communities living in extreme poverty so that as they stay at home to stop the spread of the virus and flatten the curve, they also have food in their households as this will ensure that they stay at home.
