My name is Natasha Henry and I recently launched my bookkeeping company (urpriority.co.uk) as well as revamped my blog (memoirsofblackwomen.urpriority.co.uk). I’ve always wanted to run my own business but this desire went into overdrive the minute I discovered that I was pregnant and would become a single mum. It was then that I realised that the excuses, procrastination and self-doubt was no longer acceptable because it was now my responsibility to leave a promising future for my child.
So here I am now. After countless sleepless nights of studying (during the pregnancy and after giving birth) I finally managed to secure my qualification in advanced bookkeeping. I also used the same momentum to incorporate my company, build another website for my blog and continue writing my book titled “Memoirs of Black Women”.
My objective is to support as many Black businesses as possible to navigate the daunting terrain of starting their own business, manage their accounts and deal with HMRC/Companies House so that they can also be part of the revolution in creating generational wealth for their loved ones.
With regards to my book, I know that Black women have the most interesting stories to tell because of the intrigue and challenge of the lives we lead. My aim is to document this so that other Black women and young girls can partake of the wisdom and sound advice of the beautiful Queens who have lived a full life.
So I am delighted to be here! The funds will be put towards advertising and expanding my bookkeeping company, creating media content for my blog, publishing my book and securing the necessary software and equipment to support both endeavours.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and I wish you just as much prosperity and happiness as I hope to gain now and in the future.
